Adventures of Isabella - continued

Isabella has been a great travel companion. However, she now is nearly 9 yrs old and has developed a mass by her tail. It is 8cm x 6cm and deep into the pelvic area. I don't think she is in pain, but she is lethargic and just sleeps 22+ hrs a day. We went to Advanced Vet Care in Salt Lake City. She underwent tests, a biopsy ( has one stitch) and a CT Scan (her size caused the machine to overheat because so many images were taken!!) Now we wait for results, but it isn't looking good.
While she was being sedated and tested and probed, I discovered Antelope Island in the middle of the great Salt Lake. I discussed life with the American Bison and watched the waveless, lifeless water meld into the mountains. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day:
