Getting ready to head south - warm up!

After a few weeks of living / parked at the cute KOA in Vernal, Utah (has miniature golf, trike rentals, ATV rentals!), they have closed for the season and so must I. It is cold, cold, cold here at 19 degrees at night and maybe 40+ during the day. Today (Saturday) should get up to 60+ but am running out of propane again and will soon freeze at night, again!

As many of my friends will no doubt ask, the answer in advance is "no, I don't have a plan"! I have a destination, but no idea how long I will take to get there as I may see something along the way which will make me stop and explore. The destination is Mesa, Arizona, where I have purchased a "park model" tiny home with a carport and a shed. Since I purchased online with the help of the salesman's FaceTime phone app, it is time to go see it the fully furnished place to see what I would rather have from storage.

Speaking of storage, if you haven't heard, I received a notice this past Monday that water entered the building of my storage building in Arkansas and I may want to check for water in my units. I have furniture, mattresses, books and a variety of tools and keep-sakes in those units, so pray with me that no damage has been done to anything in my units (yes, I have the maximum renters insurance but that won't cover the value of all the contents!

After checking in to Mesa, I will probably head to the Houston area and park SueCanDo at my nephew's place where we can all work on upgrading and preparing her for sale. While she has served me well this past year (plus), it is time for something smaller and newer. Isabella needed space, but now that she is gone, I don't need this much space to wander around every summer (the goal). If you know of anyone ready to start the life-style of RV living, let them know this big bus will soon be on the market!

Then or maybe before Houston area, will check on stuff in storage. So Arkansas friends - I need a place to park SueCanDo! What is the best RV spot for a 38 footer? I am going to check Devils Den area to see if they can accommodate my size rig, but would prefer closer to Bella Vista area if they have a park? Or even Lincoln area, but don't recall any RV parks in that area. Maybe I will have to park at the casino outside Siloam Springs? LOL

Anyway - see many of you soon! Stay warm... hug your loved ones.... rescue a pet... be connected! Love ya...

SueCanDo, named by a dear friend who departed this planet much too young, will strive to be a place for inspiration, clarity and enlightenment. My friend and I  had just reconnected and were having daily emails and weekly conversations that lasted long into the early mornings.

Still hundreds of miles away, I was looking forward to finally spending quality time with him after decades of missing his stories and hugs in person. A brief weekend in April, 2018, confirmed we were going to have many great adventures. Then he had an accident on one of his favorite motorcycles on one of his favorite roads after having just eaten his favorite hamburger at his favorite joint on 101 in northern CA. The shock has worn off, but I still miss what should have been.

So Mike, thanks to you and your "beady brain", here is SueCanDo, even without you the name lives on!

And, these are the Grand Adventures, after the Grand Purge, leading up to quality time with my Grand Babies!! This is a record for them to one day review and laugh with "Gammie"!
