Memorial Weekend 2020

The year of "the pandemic" which kept everyone at home...unless you are visiting NE Utah! It is SO busy up here you would never know much of the world is choosing to stay indoors and watch reruns, or fixing themselves to the statistics of the virus, or ...... working in positions caring for the sick. Bless you all no matter how you spend your days. Up here, in a previously violent array of rocks, mountains, rivers and valleys, numerous people are visiting from the Northwest, looking for freedom in the great outdoors. Yes, many are staying safe by wearing masks in public, using the hand sanitizer or staying in their vehicles while only one person enters the store. But they are camping, fishing, hiking and just plain enjoying nature. Thank you to all those soldiers who gave up their lives so that so many could enjoy their's today and always.

I am happy to be among those enjoying life and it is fun servicing people who are looking for fun! My little chamber of commerce self is happy to share what I have learned, suggesting routes, trails and views which will leave a lasting impression upon all who venture up here - a little known gem of the country that even those a few hours away had never seen until this year!

Welcome to my summer world. For those at home, I suggest watching anything from National Geographic to truly understand this dynamic region of our planet. And give thanks to all those who came before us to allow us these freedoms to explore. Cheers!

About Me

SueCanDo, named by a dear friend who departed this planet much too young, will strive to be a place for inspiration, clarity and enlightenment. My friend and I  had just reconnected and were having daily emails and weekly conversations that lasted long into the early mornings.

Still hundreds of miles away, I was looking forward to finally spending quality time with him after decades of missing his stories and hugs in person. A brief weekend in April, 2018, confirmed we were going to have many great adventures. Then he had an accident on one of his favorite motorcycles on one of his favorite roads after having just eaten his favorite hamburger at his favorite joint on 101 in northern CA. The shock has worn off, but I still miss what should have been.

So Mike, thanks to you and your "beady brain", here is SueCanDo, even without you the name lives on!

And, these are the Grand Adventures, after the Grand Purge, leading up to quality time with my Grand Babies!! This is a record for them to one day review and laugh with "Gammie"!
