On the Road Again!

Six months of very busy retail services to first time RV'ers, boaters, campers and anyone else who had isolation fever, has come to an end. My last shift at Flaming Gorge Resort ended on a day of snow (not forecasted) flurries, 35 mph wind gusts, sun but windchill temps in the 30's and hardly any customers.
Excitement of the weekend was the little brown bear cub who decided our trash bins and rubber rafts were a good place to play and eat. Lots of pictures (not by me) were shared of the dangerous, yet cute little guy. He was chased up a tree, then lassoed and placed in a cage where Wildlife Services relocated him to a less populated area.
For me, I am still planning the route, considering taking The Loneliest Road (U.S. 50) through Nevada as I have already done the I-80 route from here to California. Need to arrive in Angel's Camp, California, about an hour from the grandkids by 5pm Tuesday. Can't wait to see them. Because of Zoom School, I haven't wanted to use FaceTime to help give them some off-the-computer-free-time, but it's no fun not watching them play, hearing them giggle and just plain having fun!
After California, will head to Mesa to check on my "tiny trailer" to see if I want to sell it, rent it out or keep it for another year. With many Canadians unable to return, the listing for rentals is over 6 pages in an Excel worksheet! So it may be a lonely place this winter, especially if there is another Covid event and they shut down all the activities (like they did in March).... we shall see.
Regardless, I have placed an offer on a home-base home in Mountain View, Arkansas. I received approval for the loan, have the inspection report and am awaiting the closing! More information to come, but it is an older home which needs renovation. I did this intentionally so I would have winter projects and a sense of accomplishment upon the completion of each room! I also want my beautiful things out of storage, so this allows for that goal! Yeah!!! The place is also close to my favorite hiking area - Buffalo National River. The roads in that area were travelled while on my motorcycle, so am looking forward to being by Bull Shoals, Norfolk Lakes, hiking areas and Ozark country again. AND I am so looking forward to using my own washer / dryer again.... and a real kitchen! LOL I am lucky to have my RV and my adventures, but sometimes I just want to relax in a warm home. So, prayers please that all goes well and I have a base camp by Christmas, 2020!
Take care, all... you are in my thoughts and prayers!
