Welcome 2023!

I was interviewing for 2023 summer positions when I decided to recontact Woody at Flaming Gorge Resort. To my delight, he is willing to hire me again (this is like the 3rd or 4th time!) for the summer 2023 season! Now I could have gone to Alaska to work, could have interviewed to be a Tail-Runner for an RV caravan tour, could have worked at the Badlands National Park... or even cleaned rooms at a small motel in Mountain View, Arkansas... but I decided I would much rather see my friends while wandering the great rocky inclines near Vernal.

I love the Flaming Gorge, Dutch John, Utah area! Close to the bones at Dinosaur National Park, close to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, close to the nothing-ness in Wyoming, close to amazing rocks, crazy roads, a reservoir and a well-known fly-fishing mecca - the Green River!

It's also great that I love the family that owns and runs Flaming Gorge Resort. All the generations are hard-working, generous and fun-loving and grateful for their employees who show up (some year-round, some seasonal) to keep the magic going every year!

So end of March or early April, SueCanDo's little Class C "Trippy" will be pulling "Tow-bee" (for Toby Keith) back up the mountain in NE Utah! If you are out that way this summer, come visit me and the Resort! An almost well-kept secret in almost the middle of nowhere!
